Concerti Program

Concerti list

MFP is the only festival in the world where over 70% of its students appear as soloists with orchestra in formal concerts during the course of the festival. Our brilliant resident orchestra tirelessly collaborates with all of our exciting young artists for evenings of pure magic.

At this time, only those students who have registered for our piano program or string program are eligible and encouraged to play a Concerto movement with our orchestra.

The management reserves the right to change the concerti list. Changement of the concerto is absolutely no reason for tuition refund.

All new students that are recommended by their professors to play a movement of a concerto with our orchestra, are required to send a video or Youtube link (included on the registration form). We advise all applying students to send a video of their choice of concerto movement. The recording does NOT need to be from a public performance, nor does it need to be accompanied by orchestra a second piano is sufficient.

Once passing successfully the video audition, the student will play a concert movement in an event called "first play" series (with the Orchestra) and if passed by the conductor will have a rehearsal with the Orchestra and an evening of public performance.

Returning students who have successfully performed with the orchestra are exempt from the video audition of "first play".

The direction of the festival has the prerogative to change the list of works offered in extreme circumstances with due notice to the interpreters.
