Xin Xin

Xin Xin, a Canadian pianist and pedagogue, widely sought after as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. began piano at age four and was admitted at eight to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. After moving to Canada, he gained international attention through competition successes and made his orchestral debut after winning the National Concerto Competition in the United States.

Xin Xin earned his Artist Diploma from the Colburn Conservatory, where he studied with John Perry and served as his teaching assistant. He has performed and taught throughout North America, Europe, and China, appeared as a soloist with orchestras worldwide, and given masterclasses at major institutions. His performances have been broadcast on CBC, BBC, and PBS. He has held a professorship at Central China Normal University as Chair of the Piano Department and conductor of the university orchestra. Currently he resides in Vancouver , and appears regularly as faculty at music festivals in North America and Europe.
