  • Conducting workshop (by invitation)
  • Competition preparation for exceptionally gifted young musicians (by invitation)
  • Observation of rehearsals for the opera production
  • Media and television interviews for selected students and faculty members

Applicants of all ages are welcome, and those over 40 may apply to the Pianist Forever. Participants aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times, wherever they are lodged. Participants under 18 may attend unaccompanied, if a parent or legal guardian appoints a designated adult guardian for the duration of the festival; the guardian decides whether the student travels to classes alone or with others. Parents attending with their child must purchase an Auditor Card.

We book your room at one of our partner hotels in the old town: Hotel Sangallo, Hotel Priori or the Sina Brufani Palace. Rooms are shared by two or three participants of the same sex and similar age. Tell us if you’d like to room with a friend. A single room costs €500 extra, subject to availability.

The tuition fee covers one session and includes:

  • accommodation in a festival hotel in the historic centre, with breakfast
  • lessons and masterclasses with the festival faculty

  • free entry to all festival concerts, masterclasses and talks

The tuition fee includes a registration fee of €350, which is non-refundable.

  • Regular registration (from 1 January 2027): €350 or the full €3,500 when you apply, with the balance due by 1 May 2027. Registrations not paid in full by that date are cancelled, and the registration fee is not refunded.

  • In order to not miss the welcome meeting, participants are expected to arrive in Perugia no later than 5:00 PM on July 22, (August 2 for 2nd session) 2027, and will check out on July 31 (August 11th for 2nd session), 2027.

Participants may arrive in Perugia before the start of the festival; however, they are responsible for their own lodging and related expenses. Practice facilities will not be available until the first day of the festival.

    • The main international gateway to Perugia is Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO).

SULGA operates a direct bus service from Fiumicino Airport to Piazza Partigiani in Perugia. To simplify arrival, the festival has arranged a private SULGA coach running directly from Terminal 3 of Fiumicino Airport to the Sangallo Palace Hotel, where the Music Fest Perugia registration desk is located. Festival staff will meet participants at the airport and accompany them to the coach.

This service is strongly recommended. It runs without intermediate stops and takes participants directly to registration, making it considerably faster than the public SULGA buses (departing at 9:00 AM, 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM), which serve several stops along the route.

A limited number of scholarships are available to students with financial need. After submitting your application, write to info@musicfestperugia.net with the subject ‘Scholarship Request’. Decisions are sent with the admission.

Send us two contrasting pieces from different periods. If possible, include the concerto movement you are requesting: it helps us place you with the orchestra. package is available for €120, entitling the holder to one additional meal per day at participating restaurants.

Practice rooms are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00–19:30. You get two-hour slots planned around your lessons and rehearsals.

Breakfast is included for all participants staying at the official festival hotels.

Lunch and dinner are not included. The optional Meal Card (€120) gives you one extra meal a day at partner restaurants.
