Andrea Fornaciari

Andrea Fornaciari is a conductor, composer, pianist and artistic director. He has worked as a guest conductor with established orchestras including the Luxembourg Philharmonic, Toscanini Philharmonic, N. Ö. Tonkünstler Orchester-Wien, Attergau Institut Orchestra, Progetto Mozart Orchestra, Filharmonie Bohuslav Martinu, Soloists of Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Kunliga Operan Stockholm, Bergslagens Kammarsynfoniker, Philharmonia Mediterranea, Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, Orchestra da camera di S. Giorgio, Kiev Symphonic State Orchestra, State Orchestra Zilina, Benedetto Marcello Orchestra, Orchestra Regionale dell'Emilia-Romagna and many more.

He had important collaborations with significant soloists like Daniel Müller-Schott, Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Pavel Berman, Mårton Larsson, Stefan Milencovich, Andrea Oliva, Karel Kosarek, Håkan Bjorkman, Andrea Bacchetti as well as Pietro de Maria, Carl Wolf, Jensen Sinham, Silja Schindler, Erika Colon and others. His music education began in Rome, Italy, his native city, at S. Cecilia Conservatory, then continued at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Austria, under the renowned conducting pedagogue Karl Österreicher. He then graduated under Leopold Hager.

He was appointed assistant to M° Giuseppe Sinopoli and took part in several opera productions, among which: Teatro alla Scala, Dresden Opera, Taormina Festival. This intense collaboration with the world-famous Venetian composer allowed him to develop the post-romantic as well as the modern and contemporary repertoire. He conducted first performances of new works, among many others, like Fantasia Concertante for viola and orchestra of I. Eröd, Metro of U. Algullins, Fantasia for soprano, organ and orchestra by M. Novak.
