Carol Chuang is an accomplished pianist, celebrated piano pedagogue, and a leading classical music entrepreneur in Northern California. A native of Taiwan, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Institute of the Arts (now Taipei National University of the Arts) and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, on a full scholarship.
Currently serving as President and Executive Director of the Pacific Institute of Music in Folsom, California, Ms. Chuang is an active performer in chamber music festivals and concert series, including the Crocker Art Museum Concert Series and MTAC State Convention. She has also been a faculty member at Music Fest Perugia in Italy since 2022.
With over 30 years of teaching experience, Ms. Chuang has mentored numerous prize-winning students in prestigious local, national, and international competitions, with many performing as soloists across the U.S. and Europe. She co-founded and directs the Pacific ChamberFest and Classical Masters Music Festival and has led music organizations like the Music Teachers Association of California, Sierra Branch, and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers, Sacramento Chapter.
Ms. Chuang also coordinates the Crescendo International Music Competition in California, bringing students to perform at Carnegie Hall annually. Her contributions extend to educational outreach and fundraising initiatives, making her a key figure in the music community.
